Christine's Running and Health Columnist: I caught the running bug in 1999 as a friend of mine encouraged me to start running. I started running 5ks up to the Ultra marathon. I soon became a competitive runner and was ranked second in Canada in the 50k. I have run many high profile running events, including the Boston Marathon. I have raced also competitively in South Korea from the 10k's to the half marathon. I still run, but now write about the sport and other sports related stories. If I am not running, or writing I am teaching running for both UBC and the City of Richmond.
